The timeless and award-winning project History of Icons was created in 2015 in the form of an innovative scrollytelling website dedicated to the design community. It presents a visual brief on icon history through different graphical user interfaces in different operating systems.
In 2019, Modulus designed the history on 32 posters to show them to the world at the amazing Graphic Matters Festival 2019 (Breda, The Netherlands, 20 Sept – 27 Oct 2019).

The Icon Style Matrix allows professional user interface designers to choose a well-defined voice for the overall character of applications by selecting from four different icon weights and four different icon roundings.
Distinctively modern and timeless, the icon system consists of more than 3 000 icons in 16 styles, for roughly 48 000 icons in total. It is most likely the largest uniform icon system on the market, ready for use in Design Systems.
